Yes, I've had it in my Freenas for 3 months without any problems, it worked perfectly without any setup :)

Are SSD speeds close to 500 MB/sec achieved with this controller? It is at least 4x PCIe. I have carried out measurements with various controllers that were lying around and they all only achieved 250 - 320 MB/sec with an SSD attached. The tested controllers were obviously all only 1x PCIe - at least that's for nothing...

Around 500MB/sec. are already possible. However, I can only speak for my system. It may be that other configurations produce different values. In any case, the card has the potential.

Does anyone know how large hard drives are effectively recognised/supported by the controller? I would like to run 6TB hard drives from WD via this card.

Hello ingi1985 I have been using an 8TB archive disk from Seagate on this controller for some time now, and it works without any problems. The bandwidth of the controller is completely sufficient for the read and write speed of a large archive disk, even with a PCIe2 slot. Kind regards Roland
