Can you get any apps from play store, such as iptv apps

This is not a standalone product, so no you will have no options downloading from the playstore. Maybe you missunderstood the function, cause if you plug it into your android device you can download the Hauppauge app and use DVB-T to watch television. It even works on your Windows-Device.
