...Digitec gives 2 years for used Ram but sometimes only 1 year, if you send the G.Skill directly to G.Skill in Germany, the manufacturer's warranty of 30 years still counts.
It depends on your CPU:
Look here:
https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320M-HDV%20R4.0/index.asp#Specification
and then under Support you have the lists for the different CPUs.
I would only buy verified or community confirmed which probably won't happen.
In this list from Intel, the i7 8700K CPU is listed for XMP 2.0 and GSkill 3200.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/xmp-for-core-processors.html
I haven't checked everything on the website, but I think it should work.
Of course, this also depends very much on what your CPU and the internal memory controller can handle.
According to the spec, your CPU is maxed out at 2666, everything above that is just luck or try & error, increase voltages, adjust timings, different board.
I have had them running at 1.5v on 4000 CL12. But it was also a lot of fiddling with the values
Hello. yes. Your board supports xmp profile I. There are I and II. I also have Gskill, best quality. Have fun with it and don't forget to change the memory profile in the bios to XMP. Greetings Dii
I think Digitec has given the wrong information, there should be 2 x 8 GB and not 16 per module. You can also report this under the specifications and then click on "Report incorrect data".
No. See: https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/threads/die-ultimative-hardwareluxx-samsung-8gb-b-die-liste-alle-hersteller-14-01-21.1161530/page-29#lstH.C
The hype is exaggerated in my view. This Ram runs fast enough and reliably with my b550i + 3700. XMP profile recognised immediately.
It seems that Be Quiet! does not provide such information. However, when searching the Internet, a distance of 40 mm to the RAM is specified. However, the motherboard type is also important. Check the website for compatibility with your motherboard.
Theoretically No.
In reality, Yes without concern just that from now on, Intel considers the X.M.P profile (that you enable to set it to the speed displayed in the UEFI/BIOS) on RAMs that have frequencies above 2400 MHz (the most basic of RAM speeds) as overclocking.
And therefore potentially not supported by the warranty if you set it to the indicated frequency.
Thank goodness for Intel...or not.
Question about compatibility with ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING and the i7-8700k:
The standard clock is 2133 MHz, but as soon as X.M.P is activated with this RAM, no video signal is displayed, apparently something is incompatible. If "Ai Tweaker" is used and "Gaming/Video Edit" is selected as the profile, then a maximum of 3% more will be extracted from the clock rate. Previously 2x8GB with 3000 MHz were installed, the X.M.P. profile worked without any problems, unfortunately not with this RAM. Maximum clock speed is 2747 MHz, with the previous RAM 3000 MHz were possible...
Could it be that 4000 MHz is too much after all? I don't know much about overclocking, which is why I'm using the X.M.P profile. Is the voltage or something similar too high?
I just thought that according to the manual, which says that a maximum of 4000 MHz is possible, this doesn't seem to work in practice, right?
The BIOS had to be reset to default values several times...
Does anyone know what the board/CPU can still handle, for example 3200 MHz or slightly more?
Thank you very much.
With a Ryzen 9 3900X, would it be better to get the Ripjaws or the Trident Z Neo? I have the impression that they are the same except for the design. I think they are the same except for the design. Then in the Digitec description, the neo's are optimized for amd's, while the Ripjaws are optimized for Intel. Anyone have any advice?
With a Ryzen 9 3900X, more recommended to take the Ripjaws kit or the Trident Z Neo? I think this is the exact same memory instead of the design. The Digitec description says that the neo are optimized for amd and the Ripjaws for Intel. Does somebody have any advice?
