Digitec is obliged to supply electrical appliances with a Swiss plug. If the appliance is supplied with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or, alternatively, a suitable adapter if the mains cable is permanently connected. If the appliance is delivered without a suitable plug, complain to the customer service and insist on a cable or an adapter, free of charge. Point 1 --> https://www.esti.admin.ch/de/themen/faq/elektrische-erzeugnisse-marktueberwachung/ Travel adapters are not allowed to make unsuitable adapters suitable (see link).

It depends on what you want to install. Many streaming services are already installed. You can uninstall all of these. Zattoo and some other apps work for sure. But it depends on what you want. This thing is really intended as a streaming device, not so much as a mini computer...and the storage space has been kept small accordingly.

No, the setup is only necessary for the connection with the Google Account. After that, you no longer need the phone or tablet. By the way, the Google ChromeCast with Google TV power adapter has a US plug, i.e. an adapter would still be necessary. However, since the Google ChromeCast with Google TV has a USB-C interface, it can also be operated with a CH USB charger and a USB-C cable. Digitec may supply a power adapter for Swiss sockets, but I don't know. Streaming with the device works flawlessly, it can connect to the 2.4 GHz as well as the 5 GHz WiFi network. This works without any problems with the existing Huawei Mobile WiFi Pro2. When setting up the device, you only have to select the WLAN of the Mobile WiFi Hotspot and enter the password for it. By the way, the remote control of the Google ChromeCast with Google TV can also operate the TV, i.e. switching on the TV, turning the volume up and down is all possible with it :).

Yes, no problem, the Google ChromeCast with Google TV is simply powered by the supplied USB charger (USB-C) and then plugged into an HDMI socket at the TV. The included remote control can also be used to turn the TV on and off and adjust the volume on the TV.

It is a normal USBC power supply, so you can use any USB power supply. However, digitec is obliged to supply a Swiss plug. If you don't find one, please return it. The Chromcast only has a USB C connection and HDMI. I am satisfied with the device.

I am using this one Verbatim Multiport (HDMI, 60W, USB Typ C, USB A) It works fine, doesn`t lose conection. Gets hot after some time. I am very happy with it. If you get an other one, make sure that ist has a usb charging function, because you have to get the Power throu the usb Conection. What sucks is that the chromecast doesent support Chrome Browser. There some browser apps like puffin, althoug i have had some isue with online viedeo sizing. I just stram from my smartphone when watsch SRF Play ore and Internet content wich is not youtube. I would by it again, especially the remote Control is awesome. It did reconize my TV so i only need one Remote for all. Cheers

Does the upc tv app work on the Chromecast?

So what I can definitely say is that the UPC app has to be sideloaded onto the Chromecast somehow. I can't find anything in the store. Maybe someone else can tell you how the app works. I don't have UPC myself. Greetings

Teleboy is doing very well. I am very satisfied. Before, I had Quicklime with the Android Setup Box. Personally, I find Google TV clearer and more modern than Minix. You're also the first to get the latest updates. What also bothered me about the Minix was the PlayStore with apps that were not optimised for the TV. However, everyone has to know this for themselves. :-)
