Only at the ear and only a tick every 20 seconds. But already 20 cm away from the ear, nothing can be heard.

If you use the watch with smart functions (including a pedometer), it lasts pretty much exactly 5 days (regardless of whether only the pedometer function or other functions are used). After that, it only runs as a pure watch for up to 2 weeks. However, I have never tried this (max. 3-4 days), because I have charged the Smartwatch again beforehand. If you have not yet synchronised the watch with the app, the recorded values are retained until they are synchronised with the app. The charging function is not as nice as with wireless charging, but it works perfectly (it just doesn't look as nice).

As soon as the Garmin Smart Watch is more than 5-10 metres away from the connected/paired device, a symbol on the Smart Watch indicates that it is no longer paired. As soon as you get close to it again, the corresponding symbol indicates that the Smart Watch is paired again. In between, of course, no data is exchanged, but of course data is recorded, provided the battery level is not lower than 10 percent.

Are mails also displayed on the clock?

Helpful answer

Yes, you will receive a notification. Most of the time, however, the notification is not really meaningful apart from the sender. Only a small part of the subject/body is included. It can be helpful that you see - "Ah, xyz has sent me an email", but it's not really good for reading/understanding the content. However, it does prevent you from reaching for your smartphone to check who has just written.

Garmin lists the watch among the "Garmin Pay"-enabled devices, which means it is forced to have NFC. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/c10002-p1.html?FILTER_USERPROFILE_GARMINPAY=true&sorter=featuredProducts-desc

Yes, this should be possible. Find out about Garmin Express, which is the variant for synchronising Garmin devices without a smartphone. Personally, I have no experience with this programme.
