Hello Can I only use the SOS function if I have a subscription or is the SOS function always usable?

Hi, It is mandatory to have an active subscription, either a monthly or an annual one. Only then can the SOS function and the other functions be used. See here: https://discover.garmin.com/de-CH/inreach/personal/#subscriptions

Can I share the GPS coordinates from the inReach with an iPad via Bluetooth to see the live position on the tablet?

Hello Leitwerk, Since you can install any iPhone app on your iPad, this should be possible without any problems. Alternatively, you can simply access your personal Germin Map from your tablet via a browser.
