Yes, that is possible. You can share the camera with up to five other user accounts so that each person can access it with their own mobile and account.
This is how it works: The main account (the one that set up the camera) can invite other users. To do this, go to your profile in the app, then to "Share devices" and select "Invite". You can then enter the email addresses of the other two people. They will then receive a notification in their eufy app and can accept the invitation.
There are two options for sharing: Admin access (full control) or Guest access (limited rights). Guest access would probably be sufficient for your family so that everyone can monitor the camera.
Important: The people you want to invite must first download the eufy app and register with their own email address. Make sure that there are no spaces when entering the email addresses.
The internal memory supplied with the HomeBase 3 in this set is 16 GB (expandable up to 16 TB).
Additional details: The SoloCam S340 itself has 8 GB of internal memory, while the HomeBase 3 in the bundle provides 16 GB of basic memory and offers an expandable solution of up to 16 TB.
The network camera is compatible with an iPhone 10 XR via the eufy Security app, available on iOS. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants, but there is no official indication of direct compatibility with Amazon Photos or OneDrive for video storage or management. Primary storage is via an integrated memory card, with no subscription required.
The camera does not use the phone's memory for storage; it records locally to an 8 GB internal memory or memory card, with no ongoing costs. Recordings are stored on the device itself, not on the phone memory, although the app allows videos to be viewed and downloaded on the phone.
The SoloCam S340 is not natively compatible with Apple HomeKit. You cannot directly integrate it with HomeKit, but you can access and control the camera through the Eufy Security app. Some third-party solutions like AddtoHomeKit or Homebridge may offer workarounds, but official native support is not available. Eufy has not announced Matter protocol support for this model yet.
There is an option to save events directly to the cloud. Eufy offers a cloud storage subscription option for the SoloCam S340 that stores videos in the cloud. This costs around USD 2.99 per month per camera. Alternatively, the camera can be connected to the Eufy Security HomeBase 3 to extend local storage, but the subscription is required for cloud storage.
Yes, you can control the camera via the app and switch functions such as motion detection, recording and notifications on and off. It is not possible to switch the camera on and off directly (complete power-off) via the app, but you can activate or deactivate the monitoring functions and notifications at any time.
If you want to switch the camera off completely, you must physically disconnect it from the power supply.
Yes, you can control the camera from different mobiles with the app. The eufy app allows you to manage multiple devices and access the cameras as long as you are logged in with the same account.
No, you don't necessarily need to buy the base unit (HomeBase S380) to use SoloCam S340. The SoloCam S340 can operate as a standalone device with 8 GB of internal memory to store recordings, and there are no monthly fees or hidden costs.
However, if you want to benefit from additional features such as extended storage memory and BionicMind's ability to analyse and recognise what's going on in your home, purchasing the HomeBase S380 may be worthwhile.
Good day
In principle, yes, but the hotspot should always be available, otherwise it doesn't make sense. I would recommend using an LTE router with a SIM card.
Can recommend you, have replaced the Arlo camera with this S340.
The camera works exactly as I set it up, the solar panel does its job well, clear videos 3K, motion tracking good, siren audible, warning light signal also switches on, just set it up and it works:) The camera is great for the price
The camera can only be used with the Eufy app. Eufy cameras with a power connection can also be used via RTSP Stream. But not the SoloCam. It is unclear whether they will release this via an update.
The cam has 8GB of built-in memory and this is not expandable. The memory of the HomeBase S340 is easily expandable. I use it to store 3 cams, and there is no foreseeable need for expansion.
