4K enhanced is recognised as a 4K capable device. The projector outputs an emulated 4K image, which looks much better than Full HD, but not quite as good as true 4K.

No. However, it has volume control buttons on the remote control. These are used to control the volume of the source device connected via HDMI (e.g. an AV receiver / amplifier), provided that the source device supports this. This works without any problems with the Yamaha RX-V677.
