Vacuum mopping robot
The Dreame D9 Max Gen 2 has several advanced functions, including carpet detection, obstacle detection and the ability to set no-go zones. However, there are differences compared to the Dreame D10 Plus 2nd generation. Carpet detection: The D9 Max Gen 2 recognises carpets and automatically increases the suction power to ensure a more thorough clean. Obstacle detection: The D9 Max Gen 2 uses LIDAR-based navigation to detect and avoid obstacles. However, it does not have advanced 3D obstacle detection for smaller objects, which may be available in some newer models such as the D10 Plus 2nd Generation. No-go zones: With the dedicated app, you can set up virtual no-go zones and virtual walls on the D9 Max Gen 2 to exclude certain areas from cleaning. Operation without internet: The D9 Max Gen 2 can be operated without an active internet connection. However, an internet connection is required for the initial set-up and for firmware updates. Control via the app and access to certain functions also require a connection to the local WLAN. Without internet, you can use basic functions such as starting, stopping and using the physical buttons on the device, but advanced functions and app-based controls are limited. The Dreame D9 Max Gen 2 offers carpet detection, basic obstacle detection and the ability to set no-go zones. However, compared to the D10 Plus 2nd generation, it lacks some of the more advanced functions such as 3D obstacle detection. Limited operation without internet is possible, although an internet connection is recommended to fully utilise all functions.
