Yes, there is a WhatsApp function. But I don't need it because I don't have the Internet switched on. BB
You can only set the font size to "large" or "small". Unfortunately, I cannot answer whether "large" corresponds to font size 14.

WhatsApp was even pre-installed on mine. Making a hotspot should work, but I have never tried it.
