There is a huge difference between these two subscriptions. With the connect subscription you only have 3 GB of data per month, with the iot Daten Flat you have unlimited data capacity. Conclusion: If you have little traffic, take the cheaper one (action), if you have a lot of traffic, then take the iot Daten Flat.

3-4 questions before investment on some unclear points that might interest many; - Once the term is up (30 days or 365 days), is the SIM card automatically renewed and billed to my Digitec account, or do I have to change it? I can't see myself going to change the SIM on my masthead every month, or even every year. - Can the payment be made on invoice or does it have to be made in advance? - Normally an ID card is required, but the SIM card can be registered under a company name and rather than a personal ID card, would a trade register extract suffice? - I have a lot of customers who are underserved by the wireline network (copper/coax/fibre) and I plan to switch to 4G/5G with directional mast antennas. I've done some trials with Lebara/Yallo/Salt/Swisscom but the problem is billing the end customer. With this system, I could take everything under control and the customer would not have to do anything himself? - If I read correctly, the operator is Sunrise, but what is the APN? Is it Sunrise or is it Digitec? In my experience, when the antenna network is overloaded, the "sub-operator" APNs are not given priority and have their speed throttled or worse, switched to 3G. Again, from experience, the 300mbps Lebara never offers this speed, even with a directional LTE Cat.18 antenna pointed at the Sunrise mast... - The mobile network in Switzerland is a mess compared to European operators. No IPv6. NAT444 galore (CGNAT). It is extremely complicated to use it for VoIP or to host services that need to be accessible from outside the connected site without VPN tinkering. Can this operator provide fixed or non-CGNAT IPv4 addresses (public addresses)?

I answer to myself for others; 1) Payment is automatic or manual. Your choice. You have to register a credit card, PostFinance (does that still exist?) or a TWINT account. 2) No payment by invoice except for ordering the SIM card itself from Digitec. 3) Only valid identity card/passport + selfie with mobile phone to validate identity when activating the SIM. 4) Yes, you are billed - you are free to bill the end customer. 5) The APN is "DR". It is a sub-operator. It is subject to the same antenna load priorities as Lebara/Yallo. In Payerne, on Thursday 18 August at around 8 pm, in a clear area near a Sunrise mast, a SpeedTest on a server in Lausanne with a PC directly connected to the router (MikroTik LTE LHG Cat. 18, directed antenna) offers 45-50Mbps. Much less than the theoretical speed of 300Mbps. The SIM is theoretically 5G compatible but my test router is not. 6) No IPv6. No public IPv4; this is CGNAT. Hurricane Electric IPv6 tunnel incompatible because protocol 41 blocked.

Here is what Digital Republic says about it (network provider for Iot): "No. In normal use, you always surf at the speed you ordered as long as network coverage and reception allow it. However, excessive use can lead to capacity problems, which have a direct impact on other mobile network users. We therefore ask you to use the mobile Internet in a reasonable manner. In extreme cases (over 97% and 99.89% of customers), we reserve the right to temporarily prioritise data traffic at a lower level. This means that speeds will be reduced when the mobile network is overloaded in certain locations and at certain times. This will only occur for data intensive activities. The de-prioritisation is not reflected in the speed in cellular antennas that are not overloaded." Do not hesitate to contact them if needed: https://digitalrepublic.ch/fr/contact/

Unfortunately, I have not found any information, but for me there is no limit. In addition, the description says that it can be used 24 hours a day with trackers and pet collars. So for me you can surf with anything you want with an IOT subscription :) If you want more details, please contact our customer service: https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/fr/requests/new
