Of course that's possible, so the whole power supply would be on one cable...
Better would be an adapter to 6+2 pin which is plugged into a separate molex connector...

Normally you don't have to tinker with it, but if the card only has a 6-pin connection, it doesn't need any more or are you overclocking or something and need more power?
The cable is compatible with all power supplies that have a 6-pin connector. However, your desired Corsair has a "PCI-E 8Pin" connector (as stated in the specifications) and therefore this adapter is NOT compatible. You need an "8Pin to XXX" connector - if at all. Which graphics card do you want to drive with it?

Hi Spacedragon77, it depends on what else is installed, as long as the overall performance of the system remains below approx. 90 % as continuous performance, this should not be a problem. In principle, it should work in any case.

Use the same cable twice and lead it together.
So you want a cable that goes from the power supply to the graphics card? Then this is definitely not the right product.
The product here splits an existing power supply cable into 2x 8Pin, RTX 3060 cards usually only need 1x 8Pin as far as I know (yours only needs 1x 8Pin).
Which power supply model do you have? I assume you are looking for a suitable cable from the power supply to the GPU?

Buy a suitable power supply that has all the necessary cables and plugs. Everything else is rubbish.

Lukas, the voltage at a PCI output of the power supply is 12V. How much current (i.e. how many amps) the graphics card wants, it decides itself, depending on the load... Greetings, Pascal

I had exactly this problem, that my new Geforce GTX graphics card has 8Pin and no longer only 6Pin. The Delock 6Pin to 2x 8Pin adapter cable solved the problem perfectly for me. The second black 8Pin connector hangs idly in the PC case. The Geforce GTX graphics card works perfectly. I run Microsoft Flightsimulator 2020 in sufficient quality.

Normally, such adapters are used to supply power to PCI-E graphics cards, so you always need the females. Something else would be unknown to me.

Yes, that is correct on the 1070 8 pin and on the mainboard 6 pin. But I'm not sure if the 6 pin 1070 also needs to be connected, then it would be a 6 pin to 6 pin. Many of the 8 pin power cables can be separated into a 6 plus 2 pin, then you can use the same cable twice. The 6 pin for the mainboard, the 8 and 8-2 pin for the 1070.

My power supply still has a free slot for a 6 pin connector. Could I use this cable? I would then have one 8 to 6 pin and one 6 to 8 pin.

This is possible, but may not provide enough power depending on the graphics card model. A 6-pin connector can deliver a maximum of 75W and an 8-pin connector a maximum of 150W.
Your graphics card has a power consumption of 170 W and the minimum required system power is 500 W. Your power supply unit should still be able to cope with this. However, I recommend you to go from two different cables to the 6pin. E.g. Dual 4P-6P PCIe Adapter
This way, the entire power consumption does not run over only one cable, which could otherwise get quite warm.
The cable is intended to get from 6 GPU pins to 8 on old PC power supplies. I use a 1070ti like this in an HP z420.
But I would only buy it if the power supply cannot be replaced. It's better to invest 120 francs in a new power supply.
