Hello, please check the manufacturer's website for the mainboard and refer to the manual, it should tell you how the individual pcie slots are connected to the processor/chipset. I was led to believe that this should work without any problems, as the card seems to be driverless and most likely runs with pcie 2.0 4x.

You have to connect the SATA power connector coming from the power supply, you don't have to connect the SATA to the mainboard.
The PCIe takes care of the data transfer.
You have to connect the same SATA that supplies your hard drives with power.
