Hello,
I'm not a Mac connoisseur
However, you can find the specifications for your MacBook Pro 2012 here "https://support.apple.com/kb/sp649?locale=fr_FR". It seems that the maximum memory is 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz.
Best regards.
I'm aware that Synology only recommends its products but that doesn't mean that other brands can't work 😅
I'll rephrase my question: will this item be recognised by the NAS and DSM operating system?
Yes, the RAM can also be operated at 2933 MHz, provided the mainboard supports this clock frequency. The RAM is downclock-capable, which means that it can be reset to lower clock rates than the nominal 3200 MHz.
The Crucial Laptop Memory (2 x 8GB, 3200 MHz, DDR4-RAM, SO-DIMM) is not compatible with the Lenovo ThinkPad L560. The ThinkPad L560 uses DDR3L PC3L-12800 1600MHz SODIMM memory, whereas the Crucial product is DDR4 RAM.
The Crucial Technology «Laptop Memory (1 x 32GB, 3200 MHz, DDR4-RAM, SO-DIMM)» is not compatible with the TerraMaster F4-424 Max. The F4-424 Max requires DDR5 RAM, whereas this module is DDR4. Additionally, the F4-424 Max supports up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, but it specifically needs DDR5 modules to function properly.
The "Laptop Memory (2 x 16GB, 3200 MHz, DDR4-RAM, SO-DIMM)" from Crucial Technology with the product ID CT2K16G4SFRA32A is basically compatible with the HP ProBook 440 G6, but there are some restrictions to consider:
- The HP ProBook 440 G6 supports DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM, which is in line with the specifications of the Crucial product.
- The ProBook 440 G6 can support up to 32 GB of RAM, with a maximum of 16 GB per slot, which is the same as the 2 x 16 GB modules on sale.
- However, the ProBook 440 G6 supports RAM clock rates of 2400 MHz or 2666 MHz as standard. Higher clock rates such as 3200 MHz are downclocked to the clock rate supported by the system.
The modules are therefore compatible, but they are clocked down to the clock rate supported by the system.
NO. The Asus B150 Pro Gaming motherboard accepts DDR4 SDRAM 2133 DIMMs but not SO-DIMMs. See here: https://www.01net.com/tests/asus-b150-pro-gaming-fiche-technique-39392.html
Hello US_Dax
According to the short research directly from the manufacturer (Crucial), this model of RAM is not compatible with your Acer Aspire 3 A315-21 68G8. See the link which RAM models are suitable for you. Greeting, J.D.

Unfortunately, I don't know that. But if you look at the technical specifications of the HP, it should say DDR4, SO-DIMM and 3200 MHz and at least 16 GB as the maximum module size, otherwise it won't fit.
VG
The Synology DS224+ supports max. 6GB RAM. The DS224+ is equipped with 2 GB DDR4 RAM and can be expanded with an optional
optional DDR4 Non-ECC 4GB SO-DIMM memory module up to 6GB. The built-in processor (Intel® Celeron® processor J4125) can drive a maximum of 8 GB. So I assume that the 16 GB model will not work according to the specs.
Here's what I found on the manufacturer's website (https://support.apple.com/fr-ch/HT201191)
Memory characteristics
This model of iMac has SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random-Access Memory) memory slots at the back of the computer, near the air vents, with these memory specifications:
Number of memory slots 4
Base memory 8 GB (2 x 4 GB DIMM modules)
Maximum memory 64 GB (4 x 16 GB DIMM modules)
Use SO-DIMM modules that meet all of the following criteria:
PC4-2400 (19200)
No buffer memory
No parity
260-pin
DDR4 2400 MHz SDRAM modules
In my opinion, this should be good because it's the SO-DIMM format, but nothing is guaranteed with Apple. If I were you, I'd contact them to be sure.
Have a nice day!
NO, your Lenovo laptop requires DDR3 RAM (SoDimm). The "Crucial Laptop Memory is of the type DDR4 and with 3200 MHz clocked twice as fast as the SoDimm RAM with 1600 MHz clock that fits your laptop. DDR3 RAM (fortunately) does NOT fit into a DDR4 socket.
