By Nikon F-lenses (no official Nikon designation) are Nikkor lenses with Ai or Ai-S mount and thus exclusively with mechanical aperture control and manual focus meant ?

I'm afraid I don't understand the question very well. In any case, this is simply a piece of adapter without any electronics on it. This means that neither power supply nor autofocus (or else) is supported. You have to open or close the aperture mechanically. Bigger problem for me is focus, my Nikons F have VERY sensitive "focus wheel". And still, adapter is meant to stand between Nikon F lenses (like for Nikon D60) and MFT (Micro Four Thirds) camera bayonet. Greetings!
