What you need to understand is that chipolos don't work "on their own", they are connected via Bluetooth to a mobile phone to give their position. As soon as the mobile phone is out of range, the chipolo's GPS coordinates are no longer updated, only the last position is given. You simply receive an alert on your mobile when the chipolo is out of range...
Thank you very much for pointing this out. We will be happy to pass this on internally to the responsible department and hope that this will be adjusted promptly.
As soon as these are available and we can obtain them from our suppliers, we will try to introduce the Chipolo ONE Point (Find my Device, Android) into our range. However, we cannot currently say when this will be.
It shows the last known location that you or another mobile phone that has Chipolo installed has detected.
Is that a question or a hint? I suppose it's a question. Hmm there is basically no GPS and no GPS transmitter installed, only a Bluetooth transmitter that shows you where it is at about 10-15 metres, of course there is then no search e.g. where it was last located, which you can see on a map, but it does not transmit to a GPS satellite Greetings Karl
I don't quite understand your question. So in the Find My App, Chipolo is not shown. You can only track and find it with the Chipolo App. The Chipolo app is also available for iPhone.
Via smartphone you can let the Chipolo ring when it is in range. If it is out of range, it shows the last position where the Chipolo was connected to the smartphone.
Yes! But it's not extremely loud...
It's like the Swiss COVID app. If they are looking for it, the other person must have the app installed and Bluetooth must be on. In other words, the more people have it, the more likely they are to find it outside their own Bluetooth range. But I find it super practical at home.
