The device can be used without safety goggles as it has been specially developed for use without additional eye protection measures. Light may leak between the attachment and the device and from the underside of the device, but this is normal and poses no danger as long as the device is used correctly. It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and only point the device at the skin to ensure that the light does not enter the eyes.
Correct, after the 2 years the manufacturer would handle the entire process.
The warranty extension would just make it easier as there are no different parties involved.
The extended warranty is simply offered as standard, but there are other options with this product.
We work with daily prices, which can be influenced by various factors such as purchasing conditions, stock levels and supply and demand. It is therefore possible that bundles such as these are cheaper than other similar offers.
Both are the Silk-Expert Pro 5 and the functions are completely identical. The accessories differ in terms of colour. Depending on which suppliers can supply us with the products and what information is passed on, the presentation may look slightly different. Although they are both the Pro 5, they are two different products and therefore there may be a smaller or larger price difference. This is not a mistake.

To be honest, I'm completely confused by the offers here for Braun Silk Expert Pro 5:
There is this offer here for a device that is suitable for the "bikini zone", among other things - since it is a device for men and women, I assume that this also applies to men in a figurative sense.
But then there is also an offer for a "Braun Silk Expert Pro 5" (without "PL5140") -> https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s6/product/braun-silk-expert-pro-5-ipl-geraet-18526701
It doesn't say anything about "bikini zone", but it does advertise "100-day risk-free trial." That sounds good for a technology that I don't quite trust yet. But it doesn't say anything else about exactly how it's regulated - just this one sentence.
However, the device will only be of any use to me if it is also suitable for the bikini line or the male counterpart.
Are there various devices on sale here under the name "Braun Silk Expert Pro 5" (some with, some without additional letters), some of which are only suitable for the intimate area, while others have a right of return? And what would such a 100-day right of return look like?
Or is it basically always the same offer, but for some reason different focus was placed on the product pages here?
I would be grateful to the BRAUN experts here if they could shed some light on this.
Thank you very much!
Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the warranty conditions.
In general, the "Silk Expert Pro 5" devices are identical, provided they have this designation. The only difference is in the accessories. The sets differ in the number of attachments or the bag and a wet shaver. The small attachment is recommended for the bikini line, while the wider attachment is more suitable for larger areas. Some sets contain two large attachments if several people in the family want to use the appliance.
The Braun Silk-expert Pro 5 with the model number PL5152 and the model on the Digitec site, which probably has the model number PL5157, differ in some important aspects:
- Model number and variant: the model numbers are different (PL5152 vs PL5157), indicating different versions or features.
- Light pulses: The PL5157 model has 400,000 light pulses, while the specific light pulse numbers for the PL5152 model are not explicitly stated, but it is mentioned that it emits up to 125 light pulses per minute.
- Attachments and accessories: Both models have different attachments and accessories. The PL5152 model comes with a Venus razor, standard and precision attachment, while the PL5157 model includes two attachments (precision attachment and body attachment) and a disposable razor.
- Application areas and times: Although both models are suitable for different areas of the body, the recommended application times vary slightly. The PL5157 model has specific application times for different areas such as the face, bikini line and underarms.
- Technological differences: Both models feature SkinPro technology, but the PL5157 model is described as being twice as fast as the previous Silk-expert 5.
These differences can influence the choice of the right model for the user's specific needs.
