Yes, you can put hot liquids in it (soup and so on). The appliance has an EU plug with a CH adapter supplied.

I would like to try almond nut next. Today it was peanut butter's turn and that went without a hitch. The blender is very loud but everything was done in 2 minutes. Cleaning was another issue... but that's the case with all blenders.
