Yes, on most models of the Braun Multiquick 5 you have to keep the control button (or the turbo button) pressed as long as you want to use the blender. As soon as you release the button, the appliance stops.
⸻
Why is this so?
- Safety function: So that the blender only runs when you deliberately press it.
- No continuous operation function (no engaging): The Multiquick 5 is designed for short operations (e.g. pureeing, chopping).
It's not clear what you mean, but the mixer is rated for 230V/50Hz, so with the appropriate adapter, it can be surely used on compatible power grids. Switzerland's wall plugs differ from those in the EU.
Hello brasimon
Unfortunately not for me, but with a DE plug. After I reported it, the Max Hauri fixed adapter, type 11, CEE 7/17 was sent to me free of charge. It fits very well!
My device says "Made in Romania". However, I bought it two or three years ago and don't know whether this is still the case today. Hope this helps.
I understand your question. For me, the country of production also plays a big role.
We are surprised to read that you had to pay more than the price stated on the website.

"May be equipped with a power adapter: Yes".
This means "A power adapter may be required to use this product. If this is the case, a suitable adapter is included in the delivery."
So if it has an EU plug, it should come with an adapter for Switzerland. If not, contact the customer service directly and they will send you an adapter :-)
