Most of these boards have an old or ancient BIOS version on them, the boards were produced months ago. A 2607 version will most likely NOT be on it. If the board boots with a 5000 CPU, that would not be a problem, just flash the current BIOS and that's it. But if the board doesn't boot, it's more trouble. I have an old 2200G for such cases. Just insert the CPU briefly to update the BIOS. I put the CPU cooler on top of the CPU (without thermal paste and the like), that's enough.

Hi Brummeli, Sounds like DOA. I used the board for two months with only the 8-pin connector and then added the 4-pin for overclocking. Both versions booted on the first try. Maybe the cable of your 8Pin is defective? Or did you use different cables for the two power supplies? Which CPU do you have installed on the board?

hi jayjay, i received the board on november 30, 2020 and my preinstalled bios was version 1405. so i think you should get at least this version or higher. the r9 3900x is compatible with this version or higher, also read here https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS/HelpDesk_CPU/ . i myself had to flash the board (for 5800x) and had absolutely no problems with it. make sure to download the update (that you probably won't need) from the official asus website (see link above) and use a freshly formatted usb stick for it, then it will work. good luck. greetings zhuzhu

I am using the latest version: 3402 on an X570 mainboard. Originally, version 1005 was installed. The BIOS update (.cap file) can be found at ASUS.COM and installed with BIOS tool AZ-Flash. It can take quite a long time (> 10 minutes) and you also have to be patient during the first restart: PC looks almost "dead" for several minutes! At the end everything is OK again. Good luck and success!

I'll just guess: Because more of them are being produced, or because there are more competing products on the market. The most striking example is the comparison between normal hard disks and external hard disks, where the price difference is sometimes almost 50% even though exactly the same hard disk is installed.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think you need to consider anything else. I bought the same motherboard and use the following SSD: ADATA SX8200 Pro (1000GB, M.2 2280) Works without problems ;) A note about the processor: The 3600X is practically an overclocked 3600 (that's what I used). But you could also do it manually, so I don't think it's worth the extra cost, unless it's on sale.
