2K for a board ? You can install a full waterblock yourself, it's never worth that much. The last series were already very expensive, but this one is a joke!

If the board were intended for AMD Threadripper CPUs, one could speak of decadence at this price. To charge almost CHF2000 for a motherboard with a mainstream socket (the 12900K doesn't even cost half that), on the other hand, can hardly be surpassed in ridiculousness! Congratulations to Asus for the most superfluous hardware product of 2021!

So at that price I would go top-end, so an i9-12900K / KF (KF only if you don't want integrated graphics with the CPU), maybe an i7-12700K, would be a little cheaper. You don't have much else left, currently the motherboard only supports Intel's 12th generation, more will probably come in the future (Q3/Q4 2022 at the earliest). As far as RAM is concerned, there aren't really any good/efficient sticks yet, since DDR5 is still in the "early stages". But in general I can highly recommend Corsair, you probably won't need anything less than 64 GB RAM (https://www.corsair.com/de/de/Kategorien/Produkte/Arbeitsspeicher/DOMINATOR-PLATINUM-RGB-DDR5-Memory---Black/p/CMT64GX5M2X5200C38).

What is the difference between item number: 17442530 and item number: 17252876 Both ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z690 EXTREME GLACIAL, only partly different prices. One is supposed to be an ATX board and the other an E-ATX board. I am confused...

It's the same thing twice. Digitec should delete an article. EATX means the motherboard is larger than the normal ATX standard, you have to pay attention to this when you buy the case.
