Do I urgently need a btf graphics card or can I get a normal one?

You can use both types. With the BTF graphics card you plug the power cable into the motherboard and with the normal graphics card you plug the power cable directly into the graphics card.

Unfortunately, I can't find anything about case compatibility on the Asus website. Can this motherboard only be used with the ASUS BTF case? Or are the pins in these places, where every standardised ATX case also has a hole? I would like to put it in a Fractal North XL.

I hope that the Asus BTF and MSI Project Zero design will prevail. It would be really cool if you could finally install the GPU without cables

What exactly is LPDDR5X SDRAM, will the Corsair Dominator Platinum bars still fit?

The motherboard uses regular DDR5, LPDDR5X-SDRAM shouldn't have been mentioned in the specs. This is going to be fixed. Regarding the compatibility, you'll find the list here: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-hero-btf/helpdesk_qvl_memory/
