We have had this kettle for about 1.5 years. It boils water. So far, so good. A big problem, however, is that the foil on the lower ring (plastic covered with a thin metal foil) comes off and very sharp edges form which can lead to cuts even if you are not careful enough to reach near the kettle (this has just happened to us for the third time). This is clearly due to poor design. Have other users also had this experience? Based on this experience, I can only advise against buying it!

Hello, We had a similar experience and returned the machine. The replacement machine works fine. I understand your despair. Maybe on the second try you will be happier. We have toasters and rice cookers from the same company and are satisfied. Good luck!
