It is definitely too deep for that. Arctic specifies a height of 41 cm for the tube. https://www.arctic.ac/ch_de/z1-basic.html There are also holders that can be mounted on the wall. These are then of course "unlimited" in height. However, not everyone can / is allowed to drill holes in the wall.

To attach the monitor to the mount, you will need screws, which are usually included in the scope of delivery. These screws are usually attached to the back of the monitor to secure it to the VESA plate of the mount. The exact instructions can be found in the user manual supplied with the mount.

The ARCTIC Z1 Basic monitor arm is suitable for Asus monitors, provided they fulfil the following compatibility criteria: - The monitor must support the VESA standards 75x75 mm or 100x100 mm. - The monitor should have a size of up to 34 inches for 16:9 format or up to 38 inches for ultrawide format. - The maximum load of the monitor arm is 15 kg, so the Asus monitor should not be heavier than 15 kg.

Hello, I assume you mean the screws on the VESA mount? That depends on the monitor/screen to be mounted. I would say M6 or M8. Measure the length and buy them from a DIY store. Ask for pan head screws, for example. They have a large head for support. You may need to fit a spring washer underneath so that it doesn't come loose. Hope that helps.

Can I put it in portrait mode?

The Arctic Z1 Basic monitor stand is not designed for use in portrait mode. The product specification states that it is intended to support monitors in landscape mode, with options for height adjustment and side-by-side positioning, but with no mention of the ability to rotate in portrait mode.

The ASUS VG328H1B has a VESA 100x100 and weighs 7KG (without cable). The Arctic carries 15KG and has VESA 100x100, so it should work - if your tabletop is neither too thick nor too thin (see mounting screw clamp: too thin a plate: plate could bend a little, so monitor at an angle - too thick and you can't get the part on it). I don't think this is possible. Also, with this idea, the two monitors could probably not be aligned identically horizontally, as the arms (for one monitor) would have to be mounted offset on the stage. For this application, there is for example Arctic Z2 Basic (table, 27 ") I have three monitors, but they are all mounted individually, so each monitor is mounted on a 1-monitor table mount. This gives me a lot of flexibility when it comes to the location of the stand/tabletop and the alignment is (also) no problem. But there is also the reason that I have monitors of different sizes (27" + 34") mounted next to each other for a PC.
