This is not possible, the RAM is soldered to the motherboard. For normal use 8gb ok for graphics, video etc better 16gb
That's enough in any case. For editing the photos, it is not only the speed of the processor that is decisive, but also that of the hard disk and the RAM. But you definitely won't have any problems here. If you're not editing huge collages or huge RAW files, the Macbook is perfectly adequate. It's better to spend more money on a good external monitor ;)

Digitec doesn't have this product in stock with US layout. You might be able to get a personal offer via customer support, so they can order it individually for you. But then again, you could just order it from Apple directly and customize it to your needs.
