The new Mac Mini will come, but when that will be in 2022, nobody knows. So if a new Mac Mini is not necessary now, then waiting is certainly an option, if a new Mac Mini offers advantages now, then get it now.

Certainly not, it is a completely different operating system, albeit with the same name. The only clean method: unpack the Mac Mini M1, update the OS, install the usual programmes (if compatible) and transfer your own files via network or external HDD/SSD.

No. It only comes with a power cable. I received one 2 days ago. But I'm very satisfied, it's already my second Mac mini with M1 (for 2 workstations). Fits perfectly with the 2 Mate view screens.
Unfortunately, this has to be done via Apple directly, Digitec only offers the "unconfigurable" products.

Apple offers the 2021 version on its website, whereas here it is a 2020 model.
The thing has quite a bit of power. It's also a lot faster than its predecessor. It's hard to say whether it's enough for the things you want.
