Question about Apple Mac Mini – Late 2020
does anyone know if and how easy it is to migrate an imac 2011 via time machine to the mini mac? thanks a lot!

Certainly not, it is a completely different operating system, albeit with the same name. The only clean method: unpack the Mac Mini M1, update the OS, install the usual programmes (if compatible) and transfer your own files via network or external HDD/SSD.
