Yes. According to the manufacturer's website, the cooler is also compatible with AM4. -> https://www.alpenfoehn.de/produkte/cpu-kuehler/bennevis
According to the supplier: Ben Nevis is not suitable for Intel 2011 and not for 2011-3 (the spelling v3 is also possible). This has been changed. The manufacturer therefore offers the Ben Nevis Advanced itself. Our 50620 is the (EKL Alpenföhn Ben Nevis Advanced cooler, manufacturer number: 840000146) Here is the article: Alpenföhn Ben Nevis Advanced Cooler Alpine Hairdryer (15.90 cm)
Unfortunately I can't answer that, I installed the cooler at a friend's house.
I think so.
Yes, the LGA 1151 socket mounting system is included.
Well, I used mine for a socket 1150. But it says in the description that it also works for your socket, so the brackets should also be included. Otherwise, ask Digitec if they were not included.
Yes, thermal paste is necessary! With the Ben Nevis, the paste is not already applied to the contact surface at the factory, as with others, but is enclosed separately in a small squeeze bag. In addition, you should not forget to remove the protective film that is on the contact surface. When replacing the heat sink, residues of the old paste from the dismantled cooler should also be removed completely.
Hello Isaro. Yes, this cooler is compatible with the i7-9700. It works perfectly for me. Greetings Renato
I was never able to use the cooler because of a loose screw. Unfortunately, the quality didn't work for me at all. I immediately switched to Noctua and have never regretted it. For you, I think that a "NH-U12S SE-AM4" could be a good fit. Noctua's website is very complete, you just have to pay attention to the available height. Good luck!
I don't think so, as the mounting brackets are probably made specifically for this fan.
Yes, that is possible. The cooler provides sufficient cooling up to 140W TDP according to the manufacturer. i5-7600K has 91W TDP.
If you want to overclock, you have to use at least the Dark Rock.
At https://www.alpenfoehn.de it says that this cooler is also compatible with AM4. I have not tried it out myself.
Yes, this cooler is AM4 compatible according to several internet sources :)
Yes. There is a small pack of thermal paste with it
It is actually only the height that matters. In this case, the fan is 14.10 cm high. In the specifications (technical data) of an enclosure you will find a section max. fan height. This should be higher than the 14.10 cm. Then it fits.
Hi, it'll do but I told you last time I would have recommended the Noctua NH-U12s. Write me an email (n-systemspc@outlook.com) with a description of exactly what you need the PC for and what your budget is and I'll put components together for you. If you live in the Basel area, we can also arrange installation.
Yes. (I even get commission for this comment!)
