Product details

The I2C interface module significantly simplifies the control of the LCD displays 1602 and 2004. Normally, you need 6 I/O pins from the Arduino to control the displays and an additional line to adjust the contrast. Additionally, there is the 5V power supply and GND (a total of 9 connections). With the I2C interface module, you only need 2 control lines, 5V power supply, and GND (only 4 connections in total). The LCD interface module is addressed via the I2C bus based on the set address. By default, the module is set to address 0x27. The address can be changed by soldering bridges at A0, A1, and A2 in the range from 0x20 to 0x27. For example, if you want to use the address 0x24, you need to set the bridges at A1 and A2. The contrast of the LCD display can be adjusted using the blue potentiometer on the module. The LCD backlight can be disabled by removing the jumper labeled "LED." There is already a ready-made Arduino library for control, which you can find in the Library Manager under "LiquidCrystal_I2C."

Here is a guide for setting the I2C address (1 = bridge not soldered, 0 = bridge soldered):
A0 A1 A2 Hex
1 1 1 0x38
0 1 1 0x39
1 0 1 0x3A
0 0 1 0x3B
1 1 0 0x3C
0 1 0 0x3D
1 0 0 0x3E
0 0 0 0x3F
