This body size offers strong projection with a more focused tone. The maple back and sides provide unexpected warmth and tonal clarity. Combined with the PRS Hybrid "X"/classical bracing, which allows the top to vibrate freely and project, the SE P50E has an unusually three-dimensional character for a guitar with maple back and sides. The Tonare parlor body shape and shorter scale length (24.72") make this guitar a comfortable instrument that you can play for hours. Plugged in, the PRS-Voiced Fishman Sonitone pickup delivers a dynamic, organic tone that highlights the natural sound of the instrument. "The EQ in this pickup system sounds like you’ve mic’d the guitar. It’s very musical," says Paul Reed Smith. This electronic system features a piezo pickup and a preamp mounted in the soundhole.
