PRS SE 245 Standard
Electric guitar, MahoganyProduct details
The SE 245 Standard is perfect as a beginner guitar or as the last guitar you will ever need. It has a classic voice that is excellent for recording and gigging, thanks to its 245 "S" pickups and versatile control layout. The classic PRS features include a wide mahogany neck, a rosewood fretboard with bird inlays, a PRS-designed stoptail bridge, and tuning machines. The 24.5" scale length makes this instrument immediately comfortable for players who prefer guitars with a shorter scale. The body, made entirely of mahogany, recalls Paul's early pre-factory instruments and offers a warm, woody tone.
"Given that so many aspiring guitarists struggle to stay with the guitar beyond their first year, PRS wanted to offer an affordable quality guitar that players wouldn’t have to fight with. PRS wants the guitar to inspire playing; it shouldn’t be something you worry about staying in tune or just functioning properly," says Jack Higginbotham, COO of PRS Guitars. "While the SE Standards are the most affordable instruments PRS has ever offered, that doesn’t mean PRS has compromised on sound, versatility, playability, or reliability. We are very proud to be able to offer these guitars to the world.".
