Product details

The DGT (David Grissom Trem) is the result of more than 20 years of collaboration between Paul Smith and David Grissom. The DGT is based on the McCarty, featuring a unique DGT neck shape, higher frets, special pickups, and a revised control layout. Grissom and Paul spent a year conducting A/B tests on over forty sets of pickups before discovering the vintage tone of the DGT humbuckers. Paired with individual volume controls for each pickup and a push/pull master tone control that operates the coil taps, DGT pickups offer versatility and articulation.

"The DGT is a product that has already traveled many miles: a lot of gigs, a lot of records. It's like picking up an old guitar. It sounds like a vintage guitar, and it's ready to go right out of the box. There's a lot of thought put into it. The DGT is pretty perfect for me," says David Grissom.

For 2020, PRS has updated this model with TCI-tuned pickups and a nitro-over-cellulose finish.
