Pro-Ject Power Box RS Amp

The Power Box RS features a large ring core transformer with integrated shielding between the primary and secondary windings. This acts as an isolation transformer, preventing interference from the mains power from entering the amplifier. This transformer has significantly larger power reserves than a standard power supply. With its low output impedance, combined with a large capacitor capacity, the Power Box RS provides sufficient power for a stereo or two mono power amplifiers. Note: To avoid the influence of the strong magnetic field, do not place the power supply and amplifier directly on top of each other. Every amplifier, including digital ones, is sensitive to the quality of the supply voltage. Extensive listening tests have shown that using linear power supplies has a very positive effect on the sound quality of digital amplifiers.
