The Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3 B is the ideal phono preamplifier for discerning vinyl enthusiasts. Thanks to its true balanced technology, it delivers exceptional sound quality and flexibility, perfectly tuned for various cartridge systems such as MM, MI, and MC. Symmetrical inputs and outputs ensure interference-free signal transmission.
Customization is possible: The resistance can be continuously adjusted between 10 and 1,000 ohms. The capacitance for MM/MI systems can be selected: 50 pF, 150 pF, 300 pF, or 400 pF. The gain is adjustable in 6 steps (+40 dB to +65 dB, with XLR connections adding +6 dB each). A switchable subsonic filter effectively removes noise signals below 20 Hz. The discrete signal architecture ensures pure and detailed sound reproduction.
Flexibility for two turntables: Two separate inputs allow for the simultaneous operation of two turntables or tonearms. When switching inputs, the individually stored settings for each input are automatically loaded.
The premium build quality is evident in the robust steel housing, which is clad in aluminum and reliably protects the signal from external interference. Optionally, magnetically attachable wooden side panels can be added to enhance the design's elegance.

With the DS3 B Phono Box, Pro-Ject closes a gap, because normally fully discrete pres that can also convince in MC mode cost more than 600 euros. On top of that, it allows the highly flexible connection of two turntables and systems. If you want more, you can always upgrade the "box" with an additional power supply (Power Box DS2 Sources, 600 Euros)...
The big surprise is the balanced phono preamplifier - in combination with the solid mass drive plus Ortofon pick-up, you get a lot of music for your money. In this price range, this performance is hard to beat.
