Ponal Waterproof Wood Glue – Wood glue for waterproof assembly, joint, and surface bonding.

The waterproof glue is perfectly suited for bonding in bathrooms or kitchens. It can be used for bonding various types of wood, such as HPL panels or wood-based materials. The wood adhesive impresses with high bonding strength and clean results, as it dries transparent and can be painted over with water-based acrylic paint after curing. In addition to bonding surfaces and joints, this construction adhesive can also be used to mount windows, doors, dowels, grooves, and tenons. As a waterproof adhesive, it can bond all objects in areas with high humidity.

Not suitable for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and Teflon (PTFE), as well as sensitive textiles.

Application:
1. Do not use the adhesive below 5 °C. The open time at a room temperature of 20 °C is a maximum of 10 minutes.
2. Apply the wood glue thinly on one side using a brush, plastic glue comb, hand glue roller, or glue application machine. For hardwoods like beech or oak, apply the glue on both sides. Caution: Ponal must not come into contact with iron-containing tools (risk of discoloration).
3. The pressing can be done cold or warm using common tools, devices, or presses. For simple bonding at 20 °C with clamps, the initial strength is achieved after just 15 to 20 minutes. The technical data sheet specifies the pressing times and temperatures.
4. If the objects are pressed warm, continue processing only after cooling. For bonding window or door frames, a waiting time of at least 1 hour should be observed.
