The VC-231 Planet is an Ethernet over VDSL2 converter that operates with two network technologies: Ethernet and VDSL2, providing ultra-fast data rates over existing copper telephone lines. This means no new cables need to be installed. The connection distance can reach over 300 meters at speeds of 100/1000 Mbps and over 1.4 kilometers for long lines at speeds of up to 50/2 Mbps.

  • Hardware IGMP snooping for multimedia services (VC-234)
  • Support for packet sizes up to 1536 bytes, 802.1Q VLAN tag transparent
  • Standalone VDSL2 transceiver for easy bridge modem application
  • Selectable target profile and target SNR margin
