Plaion Ys Origin

700 years before the events of Ys I & II, the realm of Ys was on the verge of destruction. Demons came in droves and forced the goddesses who had ruled the land until then to turn their faces away from the world and flee into the clouds. The demons, however, were unyielding and created a massive tower to pursue them. The battle that had raged on the ground went into a second round on high.

One day the goddesses stole out of the confusion into the night and disappeared from Ys forever. There is only one place they could have gone: The Devil's Tower.

A group of knights and mages was quickly assembled and dispatched to the surface in hopes of persuading the fugitive deities to return. Among them was the budding knight Yunica Tovah and the troubled mage Hugo Fact.

This is their story. Or at least what they remembered.

Ys Origin expands on the gameplay elements introduced with Ys: The Ark of Napishtim and developed further in Ys: The Oath in Felghana, perfecting the formula by adding different gameplay styles and features never before seen in the Ys universe. The best way to describe Ys Origin is as an arcade-heavy platformer role-playing game, embellished with elements of Metroidvania and a complex, multi-faceted narrative. In this way, the perfect mix of action, exploration and story is achieved.
