Memory configuration information: The maximum capacity of 1024GB in total or 256GB per CPU can be achieved using RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. With UDIMM ECC memory, the maximum is 64GB per CPU or 256GB in total. Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated. ECC DIMM, Registered DIMM, and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade entirely to RDIMM. Memory configuration for system performance: Optimal performance is achieved with 4 or 8 identical memory modules per CPU. The memory should be identical per CPU (mirrored to the other CPU).
