Maximum RAM expansion based on the number of CPUs and memory slots:
RDIMM: 192GB RAM (12 x 16GB), 384GB RAM (24 x 16GB)
LRDIMM: 384GB RAM (12 x 32GB), 768GB RAM (24 x 32GB)

Principles of memory configuration:
There are 4 memory channels per CPU, each with 3 memory slots. Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade completely to either RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated. Low Voltage memory with 1.35V will be clocked at 1.5V when mixed with 1.5V memory due to the fallback option available in the memory.

Memory configuration for good system performance:
Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs. If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be identical per CPU (mirrored to the other CPU).
