Information on memory configuration: Our memory team is happy to assist you in choosing the right RAM and configuring your server. The following technical details should be considered in advance:

• There are 12 memory slots divided into 6 memory channels.
• The MacPro7,1 with 8-Core and 12-Core CPUs supports up to 12 x 64GB or 6 x 128GB = 768GB RAM.
• You can use RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. LRDIMM memory is recommended when large memory capacities are required.
• Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already installed or upgrade completely to either RDIMM or LRDIMM memory.
• Higher memory frequencies may adjust to other memory clock rates in the system environment and support correspondingly slower clock rates.
