Memory Installation Guidelines: The memory slots are organized in groups of three. Each group can have a maximum of 2 slots for UDIMM ECC memory. Each group can also have a maximum of 2 slots for 4Rank RDIMM memory. The different groups of three slots do not need to have the same capacities. Only the memory slots corresponding to the respective CPU can be used.

Memory Installation for Optimal System Performance: Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs. With three identical memory modules per group of three slots, performance can be up to three times faster compared to a configuration with only one memory module in the group. If there is more than one CPU, the memory should be installed identically (mirrored to the other CPU) for each CPU.
