PHS-memory 4GB RAM memory for HP ProLiant ML370 Gen6 (G6) DDR3 UDIMM ECC

This 4GB RAM is 100% compatible with the HP ProLiant ML370 Gen6 (G6).

What memory configuration is possible? Your server has 9 memory slots per CPU, organized into 3 groups of 3 slots each. Only the memory slots where the respective CPU is present can be utilized.

Maximum capacity by memory technology for HP ProLiant ML370 G6 (Generation 6):

• UDIMM ECC: 12 x 4GB UDIMM ECC (48GB)
• RDIMM: 18 x 8GB RDIMM (144GB)
• RDIMM: 12 x 16GB RDIMM (192GB)

UDIMM ECC memory and RDIMM (Registered) server memory cannot be used together. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already installed or upgrade entirely to RDIMM memory.

Principles of memory configuration:

• The memory slots are organized in groups of 3.
• Each group of 3 can have a maximum of 2 slots for UDIMM ECC memory.
• Each group of 3 can have a maximum of 2 slots for 4Rank RDIMM memory.
• The different groups of 3 slots do not need to have the same capacities.
• Only the memory slots where the respective CPU is present can be utilized.

Memory configuration for good system performance:

• Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs.
• With 3 identical memory modules per group of 3 slots, performance can be up to 3 times faster compared to a configuration of the group with only one memory module.
• If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be identically configured (mirrored to the other CPU) per CPU.
