PHS-memory 4GB RAM memory for Acer Altos R380 F1 DDR3 UDIMM ECC 1333MHz

This 4GB RAM is 100% compatible with the Acer Altos R380 F1. What memory configurations are possible? You can use either ECC UDIMM or RDIMM memory.

Technology:

• UDIMM ECC 4GB RAM: 12 slots, maximum capacity 48GB
• RDIMM 16GB RAM: 18 slots, maximum capacity 288GB

UDIMM ECC memory and RDIMM (Registered) server memory cannot be used together. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know what memory is already installed or completely upgrade to RDIMM memory.

Principles of memory configuration:

• The memory slots are organized in groups of three.
• Each group of three can have a maximum of 2 slots for UDIMM ECC memory.
• Each group of three can have a maximum of 2 slots for 4Rank RDIMM memory.
• The different groups of three slots do not need to have the same capacities.
• Only the memory slots where the respective CPU is present can be used.

Memory configuration for good system performance:

• Distribute the memory evenly across the memory slots and evenly across the CPUs.
• With three identical memory modules per group of three slots, performance can be up to three times faster compared to using only one memory module in the group.
• If more than one CPU is present, the memory should be configured identically (mirrored to the other CPU) per CPU.
