Information on memory configuration: The maximum capacity of 512GB in total or 256GB per CPU can be achieved with RDIMM memory. With UDIMM ECC memory, the maximum is 64GB per CPU or 128GB in total. Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated. You can use either ECC UDIMM or RDIMM memory. These two different technologies cannot be operated together in the system. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade entirely to RDIMM. Our memory team is happy to assist you in choosing the right RAM and configuring your server.

Memory configuration for system performance: Optimal performance is achieved by using 4 or 8 identical memory modules per CPU. The memory should be populated identically per CPU (mirrored to the other CPU).
