Information on memory configuration: The following technical specifications should be considered in advance: ECC DIMM (with Error-Correction-Code) or RDIMM (Registered DIMM) RAM can be installed in the device. RDIMM memory is recommended when large memory capacities are to be achieved. The different memory technologies (ECC / RDIMM) must not be mixed. If a memory expansion is to be carried out with the already existing RAM, it must be checked which memory technology (ECC / RDIMM) is present. Memory slots without a processor must not be populated. When using a multiprocessor system, the memory slots should always be populated identically for each CPU. A higher memory clock of the memory module automatically adjusts to the memory clock specified by the system. This can especially be the case with larger capacities.

Memory configuration for system performance: Optimal performance is achieved by using 4 or 8 identical memory modules per CPU. The memory should be populated identically per CPU (mirrored to the other CPU).
