Product details
Phobya addresses a well-known problem with revised techniques: dust. This filter excels at doing just that. Comprising three parts, there are even more interesting features to discover.
The first part, the lid as the front, presents a classic, unembellished look without visible screw heads. It protects the computer from larger particles that could be sucked in. Another important aspect of protection is that it shields fingers and hands from the rapidly spinning rotor blades of the fans. The lid is removable and connects to the back via a click system.
The back serves as the counterpart to the lid and establishes the connection between the fan and the filter. The back also features the aesthetically pleasing yet practical honeycomb pattern of the lid, which securely encloses the dust protection in its center. This is where the mounting screws are placed, which are completely covered by the lid.
The middle part is the actual dust protection. It is fine-meshed enough to block the smallest particles but coarse enough not to significantly disrupt airflow. The filter can be completely removed, making cleaning a breeze.
Technical note for side-by-side mounting: This filter is designed in such a way that it slightly extends beyond the 120 mm fan to ensure full effectiveness when mounted on the case. Therefore, it may not fit perfectly when mounted on radiators. Some trimming at the edges may be necessary to allow for side-by-side installation.
