Due to the pre-series nature of our test device, we are unable to make a final judgement. Nevertheless, the 49PUK7100 from Philips with Android skilfully combines television, the online world and gaming. It impresses with its new, fast menu navigation and very good picture quality.

The Philips looks good and delivers pictures with natural colours and great sharpness. However, this is slightly reduced in motion. Thanks to the Android operating system, there are plenty of games apps to choose from. And it has Ambilight: the effect light illuminates the wall behind the TV in a colour that matches the current programme.

A real eye-catcher on Philips televisions is still the Ambilight, which illuminates the wall behind the television in a colour that matches the TV picture.
