When the PRCD-S+ is plugged into an outlet with an unknown safety measure, an automatic routine check is performed. The PRCD-S+ can only be turned on if the outlet is in perfect and safe condition (the signal unit blinks green). The signal unit then lights up continuously in green. Only at this point can the electrical device be switched on.

After the electrical device is activated, the PRCD-S+ functions as a residual current device, protecting the user from dangerous currents that can be caused by defective electrical equipment. Additionally, the PRCD-S+ features a voltage drop protection that prevents the device from automatically restarting after a power outage.
