The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for single-mode and multi-mode applications, characterized by low insertion loss. It is one of the most common types of fiber optic connectors. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable. OM4 classification. The OM designation for a fiber optic cable defines the quality class of a multimode fiber optic cable. The classification distinguishes four classes (OM1 to OM4).
