Against the backdrop of rapidly increasing streaming options, the LUMIX BGH1 is a camera designed for professional broadcast transmissions, offering easy installation and high scalability, including multi-camera control. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from live streaming to network control, as well as use on stabilizing gimbals or in combination with drones. The LUMIX BGH1 records internally in C4K/4K resolution with 4:2:0 10-bit color depth at either 60p or 50p. The new LUMIX BGH1 features a 10.2-megapixel Live MOS sensor with Dual Native ISO technology and the Venus Engine as its image processor. Typically, increasing ISO sensitivity leads to more image noise; however, thanks to the Dual Native ISO technology, the sensor of the LUMIX BGH1 is read out through two separate circuits, similar to Panasonic's professional Varicam models. The body of the LUMIX BGH1 is made from an aluminum-magnesium alloy, making it both lightweight and robust. With its new cooling concept, the camera has no length limitations for video recording. Therefore, it offers two SD card slots that can be used either as a backup in parallel or for longer recordings sequentially.
